La lunga relazione di Santa Barbara con il surf è iniziata quasi un secolo fa e quasi tutti i suoi residenti si trovano a loro agio su una "long board". Le residenze dei divi dello spettacolo sono visibili sul fianco della collina e la vasta popolazione studentesca aggiunge un tocco di vitalità alla già animata vita cittadina.

Escursioni e visite culturali

Le spiagge di Santa Barbara rappresentano le sue principali attrazioni. Rilassati sotto un ombrellone della East Beach, una spiaggia di sabbia bianca e adorna di palme incorniciata dalle colline circostanti. Passeggia lungo lo Stearns Wharf curiosando tra decine di negozi e ammirando uno dei panorami più splendidi della California. Ammira l'architettura spagnola della Old Mission e scopri le oltre 2000 specie di piante e animali che vivono nel Channel Island National Park.

La sede EF si trova a un solo isolato dalla via pedonale di State Street, una strada selciata lunga più di un chilometro su cui si affacciano negozi di ogni tipo, dalle catene più note alle boutique trendy e alla moda. Entra nei negozi del Paseo Nuevo per acquistare capi firmati e assaggia i prodotti locali del farmer’s market di Santa Barbara.

Attività e sport all'aperto

Grazie al clima perennemente soleggiato di questa regione, gli abitanti del luogo trascorrono la maggior parte del loro tempo all'aperto. Prendi lezioni di surf tra le onde costanti di Rincon. Fai immersioni o kayak nelle Channel Islands. Fai trekking sui monti di Santa Ynez e partecipa alle partite di calcio, tennis, pallacanestro o beach volley organizzate da EF.

Escursioni
