The St. Raphaël area boasts no less than 30 sandy beaches. So needless to say, you can try your hand at just about any water sport: scuba diving, kayaking, windsurfing. The town is, by the way, particularly known for its excellent windsurfing. (You can purchase a sport course with professional instructors through EF.) Another great local sport to try is Accrobranches, where you move from tree to tree on a ropes course. Not the sporty type? Fear not! The main activity of the majority of people at the beach is hanging out and working on their tans. There’s also some great shopping in the town centre. And don’t miss the night market on the waterfront.

We’ve maintained a Global Village here for 30 years now, and it’s our most popular destination in France, so your fellow students are sure to hail from every corner of the globe. Our host families in town are tops. They’re keen to show you a real slice of French life and make you a member of their family. Your leaders like to get you out of the classroom as much as possible to activate your French with study visits to places of cultural interest like a Perfume Factory near Monaco which, on top of producing its
own scents, raises flowers for other cosmetic and soap companies; and the local Archeological Museum, showcasing underwater discoveries found in wrecks, from ancient pottery to early scuba-diving equipment. Check the EF Activities Board when lessons are over for the day. We offer a full program of organized sports like volleyball, basketball and football and events like our mad town-wide team quiz. And of course an EF evening once week !
